Urbanvitality

The design of Collage Table is concise, elegant and practical. The triangle shape allows different combinations of diverse geometries, which is adaptable for diverse spatial dimensions as well as different scenarios for users. The surface of the table consists of 25 pieces of equilateral triangle, and some of them are replaced by tiles which are made with the same technique of China Blue. The paintings on the tiles correspond with the natural wood texture, which is an approach to merge two different material and texture. The table board and legs are connected by tenon-and-mortise joint, and they are fixed by wooden pins.

My goal is to integrate traditional techniques from China in to a modern design.

拼花桌的设计简约，优雅并且实用。等边三角形的桌子可以灵活组合，来适应不同空间尺度、使用方式的要求。桌子的表面由25个等边三角形拼贴组成，其中有若干青花瓷板镶嵌于桌面之中。瓷板的花纹与松木天然的木纹相呼应，作为将不同材质合二为一的一种途径。桌面与桌腿之间为榫卯结构，并由木钉固定连接。

设计目标是想要传承来自古老东方的传统工艺，尝试将传统融入现代设计之中。
