For Chinese families, Xuanguan is not only a space before entering a private place, but also the first impression for guests. House owners like to preserve their privacy by putting an Zhaobi (照壁) in front the main entrance to avoid direct eye contact.
Two pendant designs for a small peice of Feicui(10mm*20mm), which is a kind of precious green jade. Inspired by the flowing and smooth shape of the green jade itself, the idea is to follow the natural curve to make an integrated design. Design A: Two butterfly wings hold the green jade and take it to fly. The jade is surrounded with gold, filling with spinel in blue&purple tone, which is an analogous color with green. Design B: A simple golden edge companions the green jade.
